Morning writing, igniting the soul
Yep, almost started writing a poem. Anyways, I just finished writing in my journal and I just wanted to say again how awesome the early morning hours are. I mention this from time to time on one of my social media platforms. The birds, a little overcast, perfect temps (having to decide if you should take a sweater or umbrella), and the soothing quietness. No pressure, no schedule, just free time to rhyme, or not. To think about whether I want to make coffee with the press, or go to Starbucks. All of the stuff on my mind during the day, financial stuff, wanting to get ahead, writing projects, haven’t had a chance to enter my mind. Nothing better than having time to yourself at 6:29 in the morning. Those birds always have a song in their heart. I should learn from them. I should learn from the weather, and how the rain softens the earth, and hydrates it, and makes things grow. Seeds are planted, time goes by, things mature, and then the harvest comes.
Faith, risks, self confidence should be how I water my life. Sowing seeds of work from words. Fingers moving me to the next grade, the next blessing ,the next world opened up to me. No writing days off, no discouragement allowed, no time to drown myself in misery. Being up this early has taught me that I can have, Earth, life, the universe, vibes, all to myself. It’s me and the world, a world I can create, and no one else can come in. Only room for one, at 6:29.
